A Trip To West Point and The Thayer Hotel

Maura Buckley, Director of Sales, Charters & Events for New York Water Taxi and Circle Line,  invited me to Historic West Point for a tour of the most beautiful part of the New York Hudson.  We boarded the New York Water Taxi at Pier 84 to cruise on the most perfect day!  Before arriving at West Point, we bonded with fellow Event Planners and Media Press for a Cocktail Competition.   So much fun!
Our team created The Thayer Sunset a mixture of Prosecute, OJ & Grenadine.

Arriving at West point we escorted to The Thayer Hotel  for a delicious lunch in MacArthur’s Riverview Restaurant.
Now I know why those Hudson River Painters came up here to paint the most beautiful landscapes.
Then off for a tour of West Point By West Point Tours   It was so moving to learn about the Cadet Experience.

Dinner was served in Washington Room,  the most popular for room for weddings at the Thayer.

Dessert and After Dinner Cocktails were held in The Zulu Rooftop Lounge.

It’s a fun out door club over looking the Hudson.
The Next day after a Bountiful Breakfast, we depart Thayer via Coach USA/Shoreline
to Storm King Art Center for a tour.  What a remarkable experience.

What a Surprise to find the Americas Cup Boat Young America, with the Roy Lichtenstein mural of a mermaid in the pond!

Next stop was the Brotherhood Winery, the oldest winery in the country.
Established in 1839 .   The new event space The Grand Monarque Hall
It's a cross between a barn and a 200-year-old stone house.
 Just beautiful!
Bring your own Caterer and the wine ½ the price of The Long Island North Fork and equally the quality.

Last Stop was the Woodbury Commons  to shop till I dropped.

The marketing team raffled of a Coach bag, Tumi Luggage and wonderful Gift Bags for all.

After spending so much time in New England It was a joy to see what my home state cam offer!

Many Thanks To all who helped with this wonderful trip!
